Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Classia Connect mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the App.

Classia Connect is built as an open, non-profit community communication, social support, and civic assistance platform. While originating as a community initiative, the App is strictly open to all individuals regardless of religion, caste, gender, or background.

2. Community Rules & Acceptable Use Policy

Classia Connect provides rich media chat (sharing photos, videos, audio notes, and documents), status sharing, and voice/video calling features. You agree to use these tools responsibly. You strictly agree NOT to:

• Share, upload, or transmit any content (text, image, video, audio, or document) that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, defamatory, vulgar, sexually explicit, hate-speech oriented, or promotes violence against any group.
• Misuse, spam, or issue false, prank, or misleading alerts through the Emergency SOS System.
• Harass, stalk, exploit, or defraud any user through the direct chat, group chat, social support channels, or requirement leads.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or upload forged identification documents during seller verification.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or compromise the security of the App's infrastructure (Firebase/Agora).

We reserve the absolute right to immediately ban, terminate, or report to law enforcement any user who violates these community standards without prior notice.

3. Emergency SOS & Social Security Disclaimer

• We do not guarantee that an Emergency SOS broadcast will be received, read, or acted upon by any community member or responder.
• In any life-threatening situation, medical emergency, or crime in progress, you must immediately contact official state emergency services (such as Police, Fire, or Ambulance).
• Classia Connect assumes zero liability for the outcome of any emergency, the response (or lack thereof) from community members, or any actions taken during a community social support interaction.

4. Civic Readiness & S.I.R Screening Disclaimer

The Special Intensive Revision (S.I.R) screening module is an automated informational tool designed to assist users in understanding electoral roll guidelines, assessing civic documentation readiness, and generating preparation checklists.

• No Government Affiliation: Classia Connect is a private, independent, non-profit community initiative. We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or associated with the Election Commission of India, any state government, or any official regulatory body.
• No Legal Guarantee: The reports, readiness scores, and guidance provided by our AI screener and administrative support tickets are strictly for educational and preparatory purposes. They do not constitute formal legal advice, nor do they guarantee inclusion on voter rolls, citizenship status verification, or successful legal appeals. All official electoral filings must be conducted through proper government authorities.

5. Marketplace & Requirement Leads

The Classia Connect Marketplace allows verified sellers to list products, and users to post community requirement leads:

• Peer-to-Peer Transactions: Classia Connect acts solely as an intermediary communication platform. We do not own, inspect, guarantee, or warranty any goods listed by sellers or fulfilled via leads.
• Financial Liability: All transactions, negotiations, and product exchanges occur strictly between the buyer and seller. Classia Connect is not responsible for any financial loss, fraud, defective products, or delivery disputes arising from marketplace interactions or future wallet features.

6. Third-Party Services (Firebase & Agora.io)

The App relies on third-party cloud and communication infrastructure, specifically Google Firebase (for data storage and authentication) and Agora.io (for voice and video calling). Your use of features powered by these technologies is also subject to their respective operational stability. We are not liable for temporary service outages or data transmission delays caused by third-party infrastructure providers.

7. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Classia Connect, its founders, administrators, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the App, including but not limited to reliance on S.I.R screening data, SOS emergency broadcasts, marketplace interactions, or user-generated chat content.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Classia Connect from any claims, damages, or legal demands arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the platform.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
